Welcome to Castle View Crescendo!
This is the place to start your journey on becoming a part of the instrumental music family at Castle View High School. Castle View Crescendo is a beginning and supplemental band and orchestra program for 5th & 6th grade students in the Castle View Feeder Area.
CV Crescendo is a NEW elementary band and orchestra program for the Fall of 2026!
Why the change? There are a couple great things that CV Crescendo is doing that are different that will help your child grow musically.
- The middle school and high school band and orchestra directors will be involved in this program and connecting with students and teachers at each school. ALL of the teachers for this program will be DCSD employees, and we will meet each month to plan curriculum to ensure all students are receiving quality music education.
- The Castle View Feeder schools have contributed part of their school budgets to help subsidize part of the cost of the program making it much more affordable for families.
- The TOTAL cost for the year will be $200 ($50 registration/administration fee that covers the book, t-shirt, and other administrative costs and $75 per semester.) That is $5 a week for 30 weeks of instruction!
- Instrument rental is a separate cost and families can choose what works best for them, though we have a preferred rental company that has worked to keep costs low, too. See below for more information.
We will send out information to schools in August so keep an eye out for information about our instrument demo assemblies and information night! Be sure to check your emails from the elementary schools for information or visit this site!
You can join our Informational Email List to receive updates directly to your inbox and phone by submitting your information HERE.
We will not use your information for anything other than sending updates and will not sell your information to third-party vendors. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Rental Information
Our preferred rental store is Sweetwater Music. We will have direct links to rent from them in August, and EVERYTHING you need to get started will be delivered right to your door! The instruments they provide for rentals are guaranteed to help you get a great start on your instrument, the rental prices are great, and they provide a true rent-to-own format where all of your rental fees go towards credit to purchase your instrument or to put towards your next level of instrument. We have a great relationship with this company and trust that they will provide you and your student with a quality instrument and great customer service.
There is also a local option you can use as well if you would like to walk in and see the instruments in-person.
Local store in Castle Rock:
CIOMIT - (Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology)/ Music Makers
https://ciomit.com/
651 Topeka Way, Ste 100, Castle Rock, CO 80109
(303)663-4084
Either of these stores will do a good job for you and will back up their rental with service. Both stores also have representatives that work directly with Castle View High School and can arrange delivery directly to the school if that is more convenient for you.
Renting is a great option for a beginning player because rentals can be returned if a student needs to change instruments down the road. Most stores offer programs where the rent goes towards the eventual purchase of the instrument. Long term, an instrument purchase is more economical. Warning! There are many instruments available online, in general retail stores, etc. that may not provide sufficient quality. Beginning players who start on sub-standard instruments are doomed to struggle on their instrument. Many times, the instrument itself prevents progress. The vendors I am indicating here will help you to get a quality instrument that will allow your playing to excel. A cheap instrument is rarely sufficient. As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for." In this case, you are wasting money, not saving money. Be sure to get quality. Use one of these stores to make sure you get quality.
